La dernière danse de Brigitte.

2015

For the past fifteen days, the company Zero en Conducta has been in residence at TOPIC. It is a company made up of a Mexican and a Valencian and they are preparing the show “La dernière danse de Brigitte”.

“We found out about this possibility of creating a show in residence thanks to the company Mimaya, which had done it a few years ago, because the truth is that there is nothing like this anywhere. There are residencies for creating dance and other disciplines, but none exclusively for puppets”, says José Antonio Puchares, ‘Putxa’, the Valencian part of the group.

Zero en Conducta Gestural and Puppet Theater was born in Barcelona in 2011, in the Puppet Workshop of Pepe Otal. It was the result of a vision of the common puppet linked to the movement. “It arose from the need to merge various theater disciplines, such as puppetry, mime understood as physical theater and dance”, says Mexican Julieta Gascón, who has been preparing this show with Putxa for about a year. The production will most likely be presented at TOPIC in November after having a preview in Dresden, Germany, in July, within the Schaubudensommer Festival.
