From November 19 to 27 we will celebrate a new edition of the Tolosa International Puppet Festival. On this occasion, the 40th, and with this round date, the program will live up to any expectation, as will the public that visits us every year.
The Festival represents, more than ever, the often invisible fruit of what is done behind the walls of the TOPIC building at Plaza Euskal Herria, 1: viewing of hundreds of videos; trips to festivals to select the shows to be seen; creation residences whose fruits we can then enjoy in theaters and streets; exhibitions that are produced, designed, and worked over time so that we can marvel at the treasures enjoyed by children and adults of past centuries; street shows that go out to meet the ordinary citizen; days of debate with specialists and experts of recognized prestige to reflect on where we are in Europe, both professionally and in the training of the puppeteer; tributes…
On the opening day we will have a show by Teatro Paraíso entitled ‘Lehioak’, an object theater play that can be seen at 6:30 p.m. at the TOPIC. That same day, in the Miguel Arreche room, at 12:00 and 17:00, the French La Main D’oeuvres will perform ‘Ici et là’, a small laboratory of sounds and senses around the house and nature.
