6th AUTUMN SCHOOL
TOPIC in collaboration with the Department of Culture of the Basque Government and UNIMA Basque Country have organized, from November 16 to 27, the VI edition of The Autumn School together with the celebration of Titirijai.
This sixth edition will recover and publicize a type of puppet created by the Russian Vladimir Zakharov, from the 2 + Ky theater, which he called a wrist puppet since this puppet fits the wrist of the person who animates it. Zakharov’s great creation was to develop a series of controls and mechanisms sufficient to give a complete appearance of life to the puppet.
The objectives of the workshop, which will take place at TOPIC, are to preserve and spread the knowledge of the technique of construction and manipulation of Zakharov wrist puppets. It consists of 95 hours, with a total of 12 admitted participants.
