February 28 is the last day we can visit the temporary exhibition of the puppeteer and musician Jordi Bertran and his 45 years in the profession.
The sample is made up of 51 puppets. It is a chronological review of the artistic career of Jordi Bertran from his beginnings with the company El Col lectiu d’Animació to the present. We will be able to find puppets from his most famous works such as ‘Anthology’, ‘Poemes Visuals’ or ‘Circus’, most of them being string puppets. All this is completed with a series of posters from the Companya Jordi Bertran in the Ambigú room of TOPIC, where the visitor can also enjoy a short video of some of his iconic works.
Jordi Bertran’s 45-year professional career is followed by another 45 from the company La Tartana, which will be the next star in the TOPIC temporary room. The exhibition is entitled “La Tartana. 45 years in the art of the puppet”.
The exhibition essentially intends to be interactive and dynamic under the premise of movement as a basic element of puppet theater. They achieve this movement through different formulas: motors, light, sound, projections… The viewer will be able to discover and move the unique and original puppets created by the company.
These imaginaries are halfway between fantasy and reality and are the result of great work and research where the puppet is conceived from plastic arts and drama through movement.
