The Annual General Assembly of AVIAMA 2023 (International Association of puppet-friendly cities, including Tolosa and TOPIC as a reference center) has just taken place in the Canadian town of Saguenay as part of the International Festival of the Arts of the puppet of that town. The General Assembly is the opportunity to meet and reaffirm AVIAMA’s orientations regarding the mobilization of artists and international cooperation of decision makers around the puppet arts.

Founded in 1989, the Saguenay International Festival of Marionette Arts (FIAMS) is a major biennial event for puppet theater for all ages, with a national and international reputation for the breadth and quality of its programming. FIAMS is a place for professionals to meet and exchange through activities designed to recharge the batteries of creators in the puppet arts sector: colloquia, training sessions, conferences, round tables, specialized workshops, theme evenings, exhibitions, etc.
